There is a change for the half day program times - Pick up for your child is between 12:30 - 1 pm due to nap schedules. Sorry for the inconvience we want our little ones to get rest to grow and with lots of confusion going on before can be disrupting.

I want to extend heartfelt hello to all who are interested
in attending Little Green Heron Day school!

I have over ten years experience working in early childhood education and have studied many different philosophies, including the Reggio, Waldorf, and Montessori approaches, and I take an overall contemplative approach when teaching the young child. In West Virginia, I started a nature-based Reggio inspired preschool that focused on connecting the child to nature while exposing their inborn sense of wonder everyday in the curriculum. I recently received my MA in Contemplative Education from Naropa University and taught a child with special needs drawing, painting, and nature therapy.

My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and
each child learns in a different way. One of my main goals is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it.

I believe in hands-on experiences, learning creatively, and learning though play. I am really looking forward to teaching your children this year.
