– 8:45 am – Arrival Time
Ø When children arrive they will have their own table
to sign in like their parents.
Ø Small organic breakfast will be provided for
children between the hour (7:30 – 8:30 am)
There
will be quiet manipulative on the circle rug, work stations (ex. Art materials, science activities, puzzles,
sensory table, beading, etc.), and a table with cooking preparation on days we
are creating snack with the class. (We will be inside or outside according to
weather)

– 9:05am – Transition to Morning Meeting ( Bathroom Break if needed)
This
is a time where the teacher can ring a bell (use music to have them feel safe
and secure in their morning routine) to clean up to a beat or sing a slow song
to have children gather at the circle rug.

am – 9:30 – Morning Meeting ( could be done in the shade out and about)
Ø “Golden Moment” – Singing bowl
rings three times while children are sitting like a pretzel to settle their
bodies for 15 – 30 seconds.
Ø Good Morning Action Songs - Job Chart, Pebble Calendar,
Kindness Pledge, Baking Picture (Wednesdays only)
Ø Introduction to the day - What we are doing - continuing the exploration that may have already started.

Children
can always play inside but when playing out in the natural world a child can
invent, explore, and try new things. An outdoor environment that stimulates the
physical, social, emotional, and intellectual learning for the young child
helps with healthy development. Also
children will act more responsibly towards the earth and become better informed
environmentally friendly adults.

different days of the week when “Special Guests” will be teaching the students
at Little Green Heron Day School. On these
days the schedule will be changed according to the times allotted for each
